There are dead patches in my lawn. What can I do about that?

The dead patches in your lawn can be the result of either drought or lawn disease damage from past years. Dead thatch/grass has to be removed. Then you have two options. The first one is to aerate and overseed the damaged areas, and the second one is to add a little topsoil and reseed the problematic area.

How can I prevent lawn issues?

The most important thing you should do to avoid lawn diseases is to mow properly and keep it well watered. If you notice any lawn issues, do not hesitate to call us for a diagnosis. Remember one thing: DON’T wait until the damage is bad to request our lawn care service!

How often should I mow my lawn?

Mow when the grass is actively growing, but never cut more than one-third of the grass blade each time. Taller grass is more resistant to the effects of drought and heat. Most importantly, taller grass provides shade at ground level which hinders the development of weeds. This means that less chemicals are required to control weed growth.

When and how often should I water my lawn?

Water deeply one or two times a week, a maximum of one inch. This is approximately 15-30 minutes of watering time. There are a couple of signs you can look out for that indicate that your lawn needs watering. In an attempt to save water, the blades fold in half and footprints will remain visible after stepping on the lawn. A rain gauge can help ensure the proper amount is given and your lawn is not over or under watered. Be sure to water is in the early morning. Keep in mind that wet grass can be burned in the hot afternoon sun. Early morning watering prevents fungus and mildew growth too as the water has plenty of time to evaporate.

Will a beautiful and well-maintained landscape help me sell my home?

Absolutely. The landscaping and the curb appeal are often one of the first details prospective buyers notice and are drawn to — and well-maintained and attractive lawns and plantlife adds a welcoming aesthetic.

Is it really necessary to hire a professional to handle my project?

While we would certainly love for you to benefit from our quality services, some projects can be completed by homeowners. Deciding whether or not to hire a professional landscaper generally comes down the size of the project and if you have the skill, knowledge, and time to do the job yourself. If you feel like you do not have patience, enough time, or creativity to handle your project, then calling a professional is definitely the right choice.

How much will it cost to get your service?

It depends on the project at hand and your own unique specifications. We take the time to determine a realistic price for services that are sure to meet your expectations for quality and customer care. We won’t provide you with gardening and landscape services which are not needed.
